Graham leads the global sales and relationships for prepaid travel card that Access Prepaid Worldwide (A Mastercard business) operates globally. This includes key stake holder management and overall responsibility for the customer profitability. Customers of these businesses are typically financial institutions and large merchants who require travel related cards.
Starting with Travelex (Thomas Cook then) in 1987, Graham has worked in a wide range of Travelex businesses across Australia and elsewhere. Graham has spent the last 26 years working in the financial services industry focusing on delivering payments and foreign exchange services through our partners and also our retail and gateway operations.
Recently Graham was charged with splitting out the local (Asia Pacific) Travelex cards programme management operation for establishment as a stand alone business for sale to MasterCard which he successfully achieved mid April 2011.
Key Achievements
1994 - Established the Thomas Cook Holiday Money (Outsourcing) division in Victoria.
1996/99 - Acquired Flight Centre, Jetset and Harvey World and State Bank of NSW as customers of Thomas Cook.
1999 - Led our flagship retail operation at Sydney Airport and returned operations to profitability
2001 - Led the Travelex Currency Services business for Australia and New Zealand through the tumultuous September 11 events.
2003 - Established the Travelex DCC EFTPOS business
2005/6 - Led the successful bid for the 1st Travelex Outsourcing customer (Adelaide bank)and then acquired Bank of Queensland and Suncorp Banks.
2007 - Acquired circa 4000 outlets for Travelex through the signing if Australia Post and National Australia Banks as Travelex Outsourcing customers.
2008 - Led the acquisition of Pulse POS Pty Ltd, creating the Travelex Currency Select (DCC) business and turning it profitable within the year.
2010 – Established the Travelex Australia Card Services Pty Ltd entity in the lead up to the sale to MasterCard
2011 – Successfully led the business through the sale of Travelex Australia Card Services Pty Ltd to MasterCard which is now a subsidiary of MasterCard and is now formally and legally known as Access Prepaid Australia Pty Ltd
